Job Title: Turbine Technician

Location: Midland, TX or Carlsbad, NM

This opportunity is with a major upstream oil and gas company supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of gas turbine engines, centrifugal gas compressors, generators, and auxiliary equipment. The role sits within a technically demanding maintenance environment and offers involvement in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment reliability activities. This company is seeking a technically capable professional who can contribute to operational performance while maintaining strong safety standards and accurate maintenance documentation.

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Skills:

• Ability to operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot gas turbines, compressors, generators, and associated equipment
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control-system failures using standard testing equipment
• Working knowledge of gas turbine systems, compressors, generators, DCS and control systems, and hydraulic equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, charts, and manufacturer documentation
• Ability to test, maintain, and repair electrical circuits, wiring, switches, batteries, alarms, indicators, and control and monitoring systems
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, spare parts inventories, and CMMS documentation
• Good math skills and strong attention to detail

Required Certifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a gas turbine technician, compressor technician, or in a similar maintenance role
• Experience in oil and gas production, gathering, midstream, or plant operations
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems
