Job Summary:

The Therapy/Rehabilitation Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting is responsible for providing specialized orthopedic rehabilitation care to patients. This role involves evaluating and treating an average of 8-11 patients per day, including initial evaluations and follow-up appointments. The therapist will also have opportunities to work with geriatric and neurological populations and may engage in a blended role across outpatient, acute care, and inpatient rehabilitation settings. The position requires a licensed or licensure-eligible Physical Therapist with a focus on delivering high-quality patient-centered rehabilitation services.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation therapy sessions, including follow-up care.
• Manage a caseload averaging 10-12 patients scheduled daily, with 8-11 patients seen.
• Deliver therapy services with appointment durations of 30 to 45 minutes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide care to geriatric and neurological patient populations as needed.
• Participate in blended roles involving outpatient, acute care, and inpatient rehabilitation settings.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Experience or eligibility to practice in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
• Ability to manage multiple patients and appointments efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in acute care or inpatient rehabilitation settings.
• Additional training or certification in orthopedic or neurological rehabilitation.

Special Considerations:

• Primarily outpatient care environment with exposure to diverse patient populations.
• Opportunity to work across multiple care settings including acute and inpatient rehabilitation.

Scheduling:

• Monday through Thursday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Appointments typically last 30 to 45 minutes.
